Parent's Corner

Shavuot is around the corner and by now your child is thinking about his/her summer plans and where he/she will be going to school next year.  The year in Israel is almost over.  After Shavuot there are probably one or two more weeks of school before the students are packed and ready to come back home.  The dynamics have changed after a year away and you should be thinking of how your child will reintergrate into the household at home.  He or she has been virtually independent this year.  Sure, you have been only a phone call away to give advise but that is not the same as being under your roof all the time.   Take the time now to think about the ways in which you will be changing the rules at home and which rules will still apply.  You are excited to have your child home again and want the transition to be as smooth as possible.  Planning this transition for all of you will make it a smooth and positive one!
